» Bakery Products

Most of the commercially prepared baked products (bread, muffins, crackers, and bagels) are made with ingredients that contain yeast. So, avoid these baked goodies to prevent allergy problem. But, you can enjoy homemade goodies.

» Mushrooms

Mushrooms are fruiting bodies of fungus that may trigger symptoms of an allergy in hypersensitive patients. Thus, mushrooms of any type are not recommended in this eating plan.

» Alcoholic Beverages

The next food item to be avoided is dried fruits. It is found that yeast has a tendency to feed on the concentrated sugar of fruits. However, you can consult a nutrition expert about the type of dried fruits that can be included in the daily diet.

» Canned Fruit Juices

Limit frozen fruits or canned fruit juices, as they may contain traces of yeast in them. The point is that such preserved foods contain concentrated sugars, which are often contaminated with yeast.

» Processed Foods

Nearly all types of processed foods, food coloring and additives are likely to contain yeast in small amounts. Say, for instance, it may get contaminated during the drying process of tea and coffee. So, it is best to limit them as far as possible.
